Christmas

Big Daddy, Grandma, and I opening a present. I am really helping out...it all goes straight to the mouth. Uncle Randy helping me with my stocking...I have to hog his attention until Drew gets here.

Other Christmas Pics...

On my radio flyer wagon from Santa Grandpat and I about to blast off to Space.

Santa Came!!!

Well, the first Chritmas with a baby!! How much fun it is...Santa had his sleigh full of toys for Paxton. We had Christmas saturday and then mommy worked Christmas eve...the price was right. Then on Sunday after mommy slept we went to SueSue and Grandpats for some more Christmas, they gave me this awesome rocket, it talks and everything. Then Monday we left for Liberty City for yet another Christmas. I was good for about 2 presents and then had to take a nap due to being overwhelmed. Grandma and Big Daddy got me a John Deere farm with corn you can really cut, books, and a piano. I really racked it in this year! We had to make an emergency trip home due to ear infections in both ears. I still hung in there long enough to visit Big Daddy at the Library and go to the Shreveport Boardwalk. Unfortunately I cried all the way to and from Shreveport and mom and dad decided to head home and not subject anyone to my crying...I also needed to sleep in my own bed since I did not sleep for two days prior.
Pray for my parents and grandparents as we make the long trek on New Years to Amarillo!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Cox Family.
(this is our Christmas card for all those whom I did not have your address)

Finally our New Camara

Ever since getting the new camara Paxton has decided to pretend like he forgot to smile. Not all the time, just when mommy has the camara. He's already stubborn like his mom.
HO HO HO

A Visit from the Grandparents...

This weekend Big Daddy and grandma came down to play. Here is a shot of Big Daddy and me, I'll have to take one with grandma next week at Christmas.

**Oh yeah I forgot to mention. I went for my 6 month check up (can you believe I am that old!!) and I weigh 16lbs. 1 ounce and I am 26inch long, all of that puts me around the 50%, but the incredible measurement was my head. I am in the 90% for my head size. The dr. said it was nothing to worry about I just have more brains than my peers. I guess I got that from grandpat. He had to buy an XXL motorcycle helmet the other day. That's why I have the new adorable dog hat, I am in a toddler hat now!

Sorry...No new posts.

Due to Paxton and mommy being under the weather...Mom with a sinus infection and Paxton with a cold and ear infection there have been no new posts. Also, did I mention that Suesue and Grandpat reclaimed their camara. Don't fear mommy and daddy ordered a new camara which should arrive any day. I am sure that mommy will have tons of fun with her new camara and me.

Just the Two of Us...

So the playgroup went to the North Pole today (Stonebriar Mall) and saw Santa. Of course I wasn't going to buy the $15.00 photo (only 1 5x7) but how can you not when the little cutie pie smiles like that. Rusty said all the women were stopping to see how cute the baby was. So anyway we purchased the photo...it's been melting our hearts all day. All the grandparants have a copy on there fridge tonight. Rusty said that while Paxton was on Santa's lap he heard Paxton reply to Santa that all he wanted for Christmas was for the Aggies to get a great NEW defensive coordinator and...a new Radio Flyer wagon. Well, you should all check the site often because with the holidays near the camara is sure to never take a break. How come none of you ever leave comments? (leave a comment people) Paxton and mommy want to know who all views the site. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas...

As you can see Paxton has a lot of festive hats. This one and the deer one are his two favorites. SSHHHH...don't tell Santa where his hat is!!!

Her blogging is out of Control...

This is a picture of Uncle Kyle and I in Decatur. He is really COOL, too bad I don't see him more often. Maybe he is afraid to be around me often since my mom is always taking pictures and posting them on the blog. It is getting out of hand, she makes me take pictures just so she can blog. Call me Uncle Kyle!!! Love, your special Little P'

First Christmas Tree!!

My mom is nuts. Yes, she made me take a picture with the boy that sold me my first Christmas Tree. You will be happy to know that she at least knew the kid!!

Look it's an Airplane...

No it's just Paxton practicing for the airplane ride!

This is my two lovely great grandma's on my moms side. I love these girls!!! Aren't they cute!?!

Meet the Family...

Me with my great grandma Kallenberger, isn't she cute. She is always bringing me so special treat.
***Mom will not be posting the picture she had outside the Branson Inn until grandma/Big daddy sends her a better copy...for some reason all of moms have half our heads chopped off. Picture to follow.
So grandma/big daddy when you read this mail mom a picture.

Thanksgiving...

Well, Thanksgiving was awesome! We flew to Branson late Tuesday afternoon. For those of you who do not know my relatives in Branson (daddy's aunt) own the old Branson Inn...which is/was a Bed and Breakfast. Branson was a lot of fun with the family. Everyone from my grandma's side was there. The happy news for Aunt Cynthia and Randy is that the B&B has sold. As neat as the B&B experience is/was they are ready to move and start hanging out in a living room with the 2nd grader in their lives, Kevin. We flew back to Dallas Friday to hang out with the Pigg side of the family...(yes I did say Pigg, Suesue's maiden name was Pigg). We did some nice relaxing and more eating. I got lots of kisses from my great grandma Pigg and aunts. My mom and dad were going to go to Six Flags but the lines were so long they went to Game Works instead. I got to hang out with Aunt Kelly, Uncle Gib, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Searight. I love G. Gma Searight, mom was told I did lots of flirting with her. Saturday we went to Decatur for some Searight loving and I got my first Christmas tree ever. One of mom and dads youth group boys sold it to them. As you can guess Sunday we went to church and I and mom have been napping ever since. We did some serious resting and snuggling. So as you can read the week was filled with lots of family who we are so blessed to have.

Too Young to Appreciate...

If you have never experienced welcoming the troops back from war, you have truely missed out. Our family had the priviledge of getting to look the men in the eyes that are fighting for our safety and freedom. It is like nothing ever experienced!! Many of you know Captain Trace Major, fighting Texas Aggie. Well, his precious wife and young son have sacrificed their husband and dad for us. Trace has been gone for 9 months and is home for 2 weeks of R and R'. He will be returning to Afganistan till March 1. Jeni was so excited that she was jumping at the sliding doors, literally:) There were probably 60 people from church and his family there to greet him- it makes you see what a wonderful support system Rusty and I have through church. Paxton is still too young to appreciate what great men, like Trace Major, are doing for his future, but I hope through pictures he can someday now the magnitude of what this act of humble service means.--Oh did I mention that Trace was greeted with a Route 44 Sonic Coke and Krispy Cream donuts thanks to Don Paschal. (he stated that he had not had ice for 9 months).
I tried to put these pictures in order to give a dramatic effect and the blogger king said not gonnna happen despite many attempts.
The anticipated Moment Literally jumping for JOY!! Can you imagine:) 9 months!!! A Picture to Cherish with a Humble Servant Paxton being as patriotic as possible despite those baby teeth trying to poke through...he is trying to figure out how to get the flag stick in his mouth.

Tuesday, November 15, 2005

Well, this is not a picture of me, but a picture of one of my new best friends, Andrew Cox. It was confirmed here in this picture that I will have a boy cousin arrive in March. I am so excited. My mommy and aunt Tonya are already seeing TROUBLE with a capital T. I am so excited, his name will be Andrew Blake Cox. I know Big Daddy and Grandma are really excited too. Can you believe Drew already has a blog site, his daddy is on top of things!!

Change in Weather.

Due to the weather, Paxton is officially ready for the cold season. He is sporting his Canton hunting hat and birthday suit. I forgot to mention that we think he is teething and he is always in a wonderful mood:> He can barely focus to smile for the camara.

Report on Paxton...

So we went to the Developmental doctor this last week which is standard protocol for a premie.

The report was awesome...they even suggested that maybe my due date was a little off. Paxton scored around the 4 1/2 to 5 month range, which is how old he is. He is small for his age but he makes up for it with huge cheeks and a smile. The doctor put him on solids. So this week we are continuing to master the art of a spoon and eating Sweet potatoes. The Dr. said that he should be seating up in the next month or so, he already tries but his bottom does not follow.

Oh the stress...

So, he did inherit his mother's need to cuddle and scooch into every knick and kranny. This would not be a problem but you read all those stupid articles on SIDs and they say do this, do that, don't do this. On of those things is not to let them sleep on their stomachs ( I know all you older folks are saying we did that and you turned out okay). Well anyone who knows Paxton well knows that Paxton is always on the go and a champion turner. The positioner is not even a speed bump anymore merely just a lump. No sooner have I walked out of the room he is on his stomach with his face buried in the sheet. Well, Rusty and I have checked on him throughout the night for about a week, when you turn his head you buy yourself a least 30 minutes worth of rocking at 2 o'clock in the morning (as much as we love rocking, we do not love it at 2o'clock in the morning.) So we have had to surrender to him in this matter...this is sad we are surrending at 5 months already.

on the prowl...

OKalli

This weekend mom, dad, SueSue, and Grandpat had fun in Belton. Mom, dad, and I stayed at the Kennedy's house and went to the football game...my first ever. I liked it so much that I stayed up till 10:30 with very little fussing. Then Saturday morning we went to Okalla with the gang. SueSue brought her new motorscooter out to Okalla and everyone had fun riding it around in the country. I did not get to go skeet shooting with mom and dad, but they appeared to have fun. My mom said that she wasn't very good. I am really looking forward to going out there, especially when I get older. I can go spot lighting at night and amardillo hunting. Did I mention tubing this summer. In case you didn't know I love the water. This weekend was very fun, but it has taken me all of Monday to rest up for Halloween. Pictures to come. This is the girls at Okalla, aren't I a lucky man to be surrounded by such beautiful girls. My family is leaving for church in Belton. (That's why I don't have my comfortable camping clothes on!)

Sunday, October 23, 2005

This was him towards the end of the session. As you can see the worried look has somewhat vanished and he looks to be gaining confidence in his ability to manuver a spoon. We are headed for the bathtub now!!

This was Paxton's second attempt at eating in the high chair. He had rice with apple juice mixed in. As you can tell by his mouth learning to use a spoon is quit difficult. He did however get the hang of it after a few bits.

Thursday, October 20, 2005

Tonight my daddy had a softball game and I went to it. My daddy dressed me in full baseball attire. Go daddy.

Look how cute... First time in the Big Boy section of the stroller.

Update on Life.

Well, I just thought that I would give an update on the last couple weeks. Mommy is working two days a week till the end of October then just one day. Paxton is now 13.6 lbs. Last night he sat in the Baby Einstein saucer thing and actually hit some of the buttons. His little head gave out after about 5 minutes. This week he sat in his high chair and ate some small bites of cereal. The spoon thing was kinda tricky but he will figure it out. I ran in to my neighbor in town today and she informed me that she can hear Paxton and I on the monitor at her house:), I was thrilled to hear that, I wonder what all I have said this week... At the pumpkin farm Paxton sat in his stroller for the first time without the carrier. He is getting so big. He also has decided that sometimes he would rather play with bottle nipple than suck on it. He has turned into the biggest flirt ever and would rather smile and spit at you than eat. This in turns into a real pain because when mommy decides she doesn't want to play I decide then that I am hungry. Also mommy and daddy bought some land in Melissa this week. I am excited about this decision because there will actually be room for a swing set some day. It is 2 acres with a creek behind it. This is the week in a nut shell. Paxton keeps getting cutier and doing new tricks...did I mention that he can now roll from his back to his stomach both ways?!!!

Mommy's Precious Boy

While I can still get away with saying it, I would like to draw attention to what a beautiful boy he is. Not all boy babies are beautiful but he REALLY is...I am sure there is no bias or anything!! Note the pumpkins to the right are for holding his precious head up.

Graco is rolling in the Dough...

Just thought it was a humorous picture! From left to Right: Jack Martin, Brooks Jones, Madeline Pickett, Jake Seal, Abigail Wade, and Paxton Cox... first time in a big boy stroller!!

Me and Mommy

This is mommy and I at the Pumpkin Patch. The weather was so beautiful. We missed daddy out there though.

The Group!!

This is my play group. We hang out every Thursday, this was the first field trip though! We went to Bill Bate's Pumpkin patch. There were pumpkins every where, a hay ride, and a petting zoo. We paid $5 for a day of excitment and got to take a pumpkin home with us. If you can believe it there are some people not pictured from our group. My mom is really glad the camara is not a close up because I am crying my eyes out in it. We are so blessed to have a Sunday School that provides us with some many friends. (There are also two other play groups that meet each week to...God has truely blessed our group with lots of children.)

The Pumpkin Patch....

This is my friend Brant. We went to the pumpkin patch last week with his mom Angela. Can you believe some of the pumpkins there were $35, that's crazy. Don't we look cute this is my Scooter sweater and Brant had one just like it.

Lean on Me..when you're not strong!!

This is Brooks, I get to play with him every week when my mom sleeps after working the nights. The greatest thing about this friendship is it could last forever. His parents are building a house in Melissa, TX right now and my parents plan to in a couple years...so that means that we will both be Melissa Cardinals. I am thinking we have got the quarter back and the receiver right here. Look out other 1a schools here we come.

Away from Mom for a whole week

I will have you all know that this week and this week only is Paxton's first week away from his mom. Mom is going back to work in the ICU at Medical Center McKinney and is going to work every Monday night from 7p-7a (scary!!)...she figures she can handle nights since she feels like she is awake all the time feeding me. Well, she has had orientation this whole week. I am staying with Tammy Jones from church, she has my friend Brooks. I am not sure so far how he has felt about sharing his mommy with me. He is always staring at me and kinda giggles occassionally. Brooks is 2 months older than me. I think haning out with him half the day on Tuesdays will be pretty fun...we seem to have a lot in common.

One of the many photo shoots

On October 16th Paxton will be dedicated at church. As part of the "big" church Paxton gets to have his picture flashed on the screen...so we are in pursuit of the "perfect" picture. This is one of the photo shoots. Since my mom borrowed SueSue's camara she cannot stop taking pictures. Like the one she so rudely took while I was sleeping. This picture begs the question who do I look more like? The comments are so far about 50%, although I look exactly like my moms baby pictures...some people swear that I look like a little Rusty.

"Angel" by night now

When Paxton first came home from the NICU he would not sleep, for 2 weeks we fought for 1 hour of sleep. "Angel" by day and "beast" by night was his nickname. We can joke now but we both got anxiety when the sun started to go down. So we bought this expensive sleeper bed, thinking that maybe he could not sleep because he did not have the boundaries that the NICU box gave him. We recently started brain storming about what we can do now that he is about to grow out of "the box". He now takes after his mother and is a bed hog:) I realized this week that I do not need to stress over the little things because the boy will let me know what to do next...like move the box and let him sleep in his big boy bed. I will have you know after the purchase of the box we were finally able to get 3 hours of sleep at a time. My new dilema is how to get him to ignore the hungry stomach and sleep through the night.

I got a little lobster while I was there to remember Boston, oh wait, I think the lobster got me!!

Wednesday, September 28, 2005

We are at the parade celebrating the 375th birthday of Boston. We thought Boston would have a great b-day parade, but I think we could have been in it if we wanted. Paxton appeared to love every minute of the parade.

Mirror time

He now has a fondness of looking at himself in the mirror. He loves to look and laugh at himself, I think he has good self esteem so far. This is at the hotel while me and Becca are at the hot tub leavng Rusty to fend for himself.

Zoo

This is us at the zoo. We saw owls, leopards, bats, and reindeer. Does that smile not just melt your heart. This is my new favorite picture.

Museum

This is me at the Boston Childrens Museum. I had so much fun. They had an area just for babies my mommy and daddy got to play in the waterbed thing with me and I was able to spit up and suck all over the vinyl seating.

First airplane trip

This is the big man sitting in his own airplane seat. This is the first airplane ride and he was awesome. He looks alittle shell shocked but he appeared to love the air.

Trip to Boston

As you know Becca Masters and I became crazy and decided to take Paxton (31/2months) and Julianne (almost 2) to Boston last week to visit Rusty. We had a blast. I am not going to lie and say there were not rough times, but...we managed those well. The frustrating thing of Boston is that very few of the subways had elevators to get to the sub. What a site to see us trying to figure out how to get 2 babies down a million steps. I am going to show you the pictures of what was an exciting time. It was weird Paxton was wonderful, I can count on one hand the times he cried, however returning today he is back to his grumpy self between 6pm-8pm. He did however this week begin to look at you and smile which just melts a heart.

Just call me Elvis

Monday, September 12, 2005

This is me taking my first nap outside. I love the outside and the water. My mommy bought me a fun plastic blue pool this week. Pictures to come later.

Swinging Man

Suesue thought sitting on the back porch with my baseball cap was a good idea. Obviously I thought otherwise.
